Moto Razr 2019 Folding Phone Launching in India on 16 March

Over ₹1,00,000 Folding Smartphone by Motorola in India

Motorola’s Razr which is a great phone a decades ago from which Motorola inspired and made a folding phone of the same. Motorola launching its first foldable screen device under the same name which is very successful before, Planing the same thing now. Moto Razr first unveiled last year in 2019, priced at $1,499 (approx – ₹1,07,000). Motorola’s Moto Razr 2019 has been listed on the company’s official website and ready for launch on the 16th of March in India followed by Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold. It will be a good experience for all Indian users about folding screen smartphone, now we have a few folding smartphones from two different brands.

Moto Razr 2019 design is almost the same as the Moto Razr from 2004, only the difference you will notice is on the folding screen which is also the main USP(Unique Selling Point) of this smartphone. So considering the screen durability and Hinges may concern you but according to Motorola it is the reliable screen they have provided, but only time will tell the whole story. As per the overall design, it is great in terms of practical usage and we do get small 2.7-inches secondary display when you fold the Razr which increases the convenience so we don’t have to unfold the phone more often for any kind of notification, messages, etc. The practicality of this device may be different from person to person, this is all that I think. Some teardowns of Moto Razr 2019 also said that the Razr phone’s folding design is complicated hence it is ‘very hard or impossible to repair”. Which again pointed out questions about durability, or something bad happens then. We have to accept that this is the first phase of folding smartphones and things like this technology need some to be fully matured, so something bad happens then you may end up with a huge bill or buy a new one. It’s not with the only Motorola same thing is for the Samsung, if you have not heard about screen issue happen to Galaxy Fold when it’s on first pre-order, one reviewer removed the protective layer of the folding screen thought of its just the screen protector, something bad happen which ruins the whole screen and the screen is unusable. As of now, small problems are sorted out and folding smartphones are running well.

Speaking about the specification of Moto Razr 2019, it does not have any flagship-grade specs considering in the price it launched but comes with good specs. It has 6.2-inches foldable pOLED HD (2142 x 876p) 21:9 Cinemavision main display, the secondary display is 2.7-inches gOLED 600 x 800p 4:3 aspect ratio. Runs in Android 9 pie, 128 GB internal storage, 6GB of RAM. Moto Razr is powered by Snapdragon 710 octa-core 2.2 GHz processor, not any flagship processor like Snapdragon 855. In-camera departments the main camera is 16 MP f/1.7 sports Dual-auto focus, Laser focus, EIS (electronic image stabilization) and Dual LED flash. The selfie camera is 5 MP f/2.0 with a screen flash. All types of important sensors you will find like the Fingerprint reader, Accelerometer, Magnetometer (compass), Gyro, Proximity, Ambient Light, GPS, Ultrasonics. Weight is 205 Grams and the phone has water protection. All connectivity options we get like LTE, Wi-Fi Dual Band, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, only e-SIM, and Type-C USB 3.0. So the big question is how much battery it has, the battery is so small only 2510 mAh with 15W turbo power Charging support.

The price of the Moto Razr 2019 is still unknown for India, definitely, it will cost more than a lakh as the global price is $1499. we will update it as soon as the price reveals on the 16th March. Considering the price point with the folding screen it may attract people in India as purchasing over a lakh rupee smartphone is not a big deal now, all thanks to Apple.
